Sierras de Córdoba

  • Argentina

The Sierras de Córdoba were the family vacation when I was a child — the main one, the place we kept going back to, not a single itinerary so much as a set of summers we repeated. January 2005 stands in for those years. Córdoba capital on the way in; then the Punilla — Carlos Paz (the lake, the chairlift, the cuckoo clock, the San Antonio river beaches), Bialet Massé, and Cosquín — and over the Altas Cumbres into Traslasierra: Mina Clavero and its river, Nono, Los Hornillos, and Dique La Viña. Same hills, same water, year after year.
