Cariló – Pinamar

  • Argentina

The northern Buenos Aires coast — Cariló, Valeria del Mar, Pinamar — as a week, not a single stay. We went more than once; the last family week was January 2012, in the cabañas at Puerto Hamlet in Cariló. Days were the beaches: Cariló through the pines, quieter Valeria, Pinamar's wider strip. A couple of clubs whose names I no longer have; UFO Point in January was too full of wild twenty-something parties. I came back with friends in 2021 and stayed in a rental house in Cariló. Griller in Cariló is still there — worth going.

    Visité: 8 janv. 2012

Comment j’y suis allé: À pied — Through the pine forest from Puerto Hamlet

    · Ouvrir dans Google Maps (s’ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)

Sandy streets, pines, then the Atlantic. We kept coming back to this beach over the years.

    Visité: 8 janv. 2012

Comment j’y suis allé: À pied — Walks among the pines

    · Ouvrir dans Google Maps (s’ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)

The forest is half the point of Cariló. Recommend wandering the sandy streets at any hour.

Comment j’y suis allé: Voiture — A few minutes north of Cariló

    · Ouvrir dans Google Maps (s’ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)

Quieter, wider, more family. We used the beaches here as much as Cariló's — another regular of the week.

    Visité: 9 janv. 2012

Comment j’y suis allé: À pied — The small commercial stretch on Av. Espora

Low-key village between the pines and the sea. Recommend it when Pinamar feels too much.

Comment j’y suis allé: Voiture — North along the coast

    · Ouvrir dans Google Maps (s’ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)

The busier beach of the three. We still spent days here — more paradores, more people, still the same sea.

  7. Attraction

    Visité: 10 janv. 2012

Comment j’y suis allé: À pied — Walk the main street in Pinamar

Evening walk, ice cream, the strip. Recommend it once in the week even if you're based in Cariló.

  8. Restaurant

    Tante

Comment j’y suis allé: Voiture — From Cariló into Pinamar

The classic Pinamar bakery-restaurant. A recommendation if you're in town — sweets, a long lunch, the terrace.

Comment j’y suis allé: À pied — Av. del Mar and Tobías, on the Pinamar beach

Came back in 2021, not as family — a house in Cariló with friends.

Comment j’y suis allé: À pied — Castaño 234, Cariló

Still there. American grill / lounge in the pines — a Cariló recommendation.
