Siete Lagos – San Martín de los Andes

Between Christmas and New Year 2019, a drive north from Bariloche on the Ruta de los Siete Lagos — we had a car, and I would rent one. Villa La Angostura, then the lakes: Espejo, Traful (I love Villa Traful), Meliquina, Lolog, Quila Quina, Huechulafquen. Cascada Ñivinco off the highway is a gentle ~4 km / 45-minute walk each way through the forest, with a river crossing. We camped at Lago Hermoso. Ended in San Martín de los Andes.

    About 4 km / 45 minutes each way. Easy forest walk, a river to cross, two falls at the end.
