Mendoza
Four days in Mendoza, 12–15 January 2025, after the northwest — we flew in from Buenos Aires. We stayed at Portal Plaza Suites and had a car. First we drove south to Bodegas Salentein for the cellar tour and a tasting; the cellar is incredible. The next day we took the road through Cacheuta to Potrerillos and had lunch at 1942 Potrerillos Grill in the Gran Hotel. Then Laur for the olive-oil tour and tasting, and a few hours later dinner at Casa Vigil: the five-course meal with the wine, which absolutely required a designated driver. The last day, Cerro de la Gloria and the park. In the evenings we walked downtown Mendoza. It is a very nice city.
